Fierce Hunters Show Their Cute Side to Nature Photographer
See the unique side of owls that this wildlife photographer has been able to capture like no other:
Owls are not easy to photograph, as many wildlife photographers have discovered.
But there is something about their regal manner, and the fact that they are so mysterious that makes many photographers take up the challenge.
One who has done a spectacular job of capturing the beauty and grace of owls is Sompob Sasi-Smit. This wildlife photographer is from Bangkok, Thailand, but he travels the world to shoot these owls as well as other birds for his portfolio.
“I travel a lot. Traveling for taking pictures of birds is my passion. Actually, it is not easy to find these owls. Most of them, I found in the jungles but some I saw in the zoos. I’ve spent many years taking and collecting these owl photos”
We all have heard the phrase ‘patience is a virtue.’ Well, it certainly is true in wildlife photography. Not only do you need to find the birds–you have to understand their behavior.
Then comes the waiting game. Waiting for the perfect shot that captures the character of the animal, and our human hearts.
Sasi-Smit indeed has amassed a portfolio filled with these nocturnal birds, but he also photographs other wildlife as well. Check out more of his photographs that include animals large and small from colorful parrots to elephants to insects.
