Rarefied Light 2016: Alaska’s Largest Juried Photography Exhibition

Summary: Alaska Photographic Center invites you to enter your photography and participate
in Rarefied Light 2016, Alaska’s largest juried photography exhibition. The show dates are 11/4/16 – 12/31/16

Fee: $30.00 (First Image Entry Fee)

Deadline: 5/27/16

Awards: There will be a Best of Show selection with a $300 Award provided by APC. Additionally, the juror will select Honorable Mention Awards of $100.

How to apply: via CaFÉ

Eligibility Requirements: The competition is open to all photographers residing in Alaska.

Special Notes:All photographically derived works are eligible, either two dimensional prints or three dimensional objects and sculpture incorporating a photographic process. Only original works not previously exhibited or scheduled for exhibition in a statewide juried exhibition in Alaska are eligible for submission. Recent work preferred.

Summary: The first international juried photography exhibition presented by Cotuit Center for the Arts, Cape Cod, MA. 3 categories: People. Places. Things.

There is a digital show and a show in the gallery.

$5500 in cash prizes ($2500 grand prize and $1000 prize in each category to be announced at opening reception)

Deadline: 6/1/16

Entry Fee: $35.00 ($35 for 3 entries, $10 each additional entry)

Show Dates: 7/23/16 – 8/28/16

Eligibility Requirements: We encourage submissions from around the globe.

Special Notes: All work in the gallery exhibition will be shown in 16 x 20 black metal frames. One of the reasons we will be framing the work ourselves is to encourage more participation from the far-reaching corners of the world.  Your work will be seen.  We look forward to seeing it.
