Blue Sky 2016 Pacific Northwest Photography Viewing Drawers

Blue Sky photo drawers
Summary: Blue Sky established the Pacific Northwest Photography Viewing Drawers program in 2007 to feature a juried, public archive of original prints by contemporary photographers based in the region, available to approximately 25,000 visitors annually. Submitting to this Call for Entries requires exactly 10 images (no watermarks) from a single series or body of work created within the last five years. If an applicant has previously been featured in the Drawers, the submission must be of new or different work.
Budget: n/a this is an art on loan program, however photographers may elect to have their photographs for sale
Deadline: Dec 18, 2015
How to apply: applications are through the Cafe system
Eligibility Requirements: Photographers must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, British Columbia, or Alaska
Special Notes: matted sizes of accepted works are not to exceed 20” x 24”
2016 JUROR:
Katherine Ware is Curator of Photography at the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe. The museum houses the state’s art collection and is located on Santa Fe’s historic plaza. Ware previously served as Curator of Photographs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as Assistant Curator in the Department of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum, and has worked with the photography collection at the Oakland Museum of California. She is a frequent juror and reviewer of contemporary photographs and has written essays and books on the art of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
